The 70th annual Fuji Mountain Race will be held on July 28 (Friday), 2017.
The official application period is a 3 day period from
9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 21 (JST) to 9:00 PM, Thursday, March 23 (JST)
or until the maximum number of applicants is met.
The number of foreign competitors will be limited to 50 runners (inclusive of both summit at 5th station competitors)

** Failure to meet the time limit for each checkpoint will require you to forfeit your time chips and bib number and descend the mountain. Time is recorded from the moment the pistol is fired at the start line. In the case of bad weather the Summit Race will be canceled at the 5th Station by 9:15 am.

- Racer Qualifications

● full marathon (42.195 km) within 5 hours

● Must have experiences that you have completed

Caution:
Due to the difficulty of the race, summit course racer applications will be closely reviewed by the local track and field association. Racers may be denied participation based on previous race times or lack of substantial experience even if you meet the criteria. This is determined on a case-by-case basis. Your integrity during the application process is very much appreciated.
NO refund will be accepted after the registration for an incomplete application form or lack of your race experience.

- Recording Time
Results for the race will be recorded with the aid of an RC Chip attached to each shoe.
|
|
|
- Registration Fee

● Bus fare down from the 5th Station to Fuji Hokuroku Park
● Shuttle service from Fuji Hokuroku Park to Fujisan Station
● Certificate of cooperation in the conservation of Fujisan

- Accommodations
Racers are responsible for securing their own accommodations. Local accommodations will be made available shortly. We encourage all racers to secure their accommodations as soon as they have received confirmation of their participation in the race. The Fuji Mountain Race falls within the Mt. Fuji climbing season so securing accommodations in the area will be increasingly difficult the longer you wait.

- Clothing and Belongings
2 "dropbags" will be provided to all runners
Small Green Bag will be taken to the 5th station for you to access immediately after finishing
→ small towel, jacket, cell phone, etc
Large Clear Bag will be taken to Hokuroku Park for you to access once you have descended
→ large luggage, change of clothes, etc

- Race Access
Due to parking limitations we ask all runners to arrive at Fujiyoshida City Hall by other modes of transport (taxi, hotel shuttle, bus, etc.)
Strict enforcement will be made to those parking illegally on the streets or in non-race designated parking lots.
